Hello lovey bunnies! 🐇🫶🏿🐇
I’m happy to have another incredible offering for you (Hâle is also offering Yin Yoga). If you’re one of my paid subscribers, Hâle Denizden (above) is offering a limited number of free intro sessions for Somatic Experiencing therapy, which is one of the first therapies I recommend on my Somatic Therapies Guide.
I recommend making a donation to her anyway, because the session is worth $50. She’s still learning this therapy, but she’s already quite good at it in my experience with her. When you’re ready for a licensed therapist, you’ll be paying upwards of $200 per session usually.
Reach out to Hâle if interested via Instagram.
If you didn’t watch the video, Hâle is explaining the therapy this way:
Somatic Experiencing begins when we ask ourselves what is happening in our body right now.
Every emotion we feel, every experience we have, has a corresponding expression in our physiology. Looking closely at the physiology of intense emotions, as well as physical pain, can increase the resilience of our nervous system and our capacity to stay with them.
In this introductory work, you can choose as your focus an experience from your present life or your past that feels intense, or pain in your body. The 30-minute introductory session begins with breath, attention, and orientation practices that regulate the nervous system, and continues by working with the issue you bring to the session using tools from the SE method.
As a yoga teacher and massage therapist working with the body and nervous system, I am continuing to learn the SE method. It is a great pleasure for me to accompany anyone who wants to connect with their body on their SE journey.
